Abstract: This article analyzes the speeches in the university education quality evaluation from the deconstructive methodological approach. The starting point is aninstrumental approach critique, as also the development of a conceptual attitude towards the investigation object in order to develop three major metaphors that characterized the speeches mentioned formerly throughout the last thirty years in Colombia. We conclude that these metaphors reveal the mastery of a technical discourse – an instrumental discourse which is moved to education and pedagogy from other contexts, especially an economic one, and which does not contribute to the formation of human beings, but to the manipulation of them for favoring interests of the sector from which they come.
