Abstract: In his desire to know the end of the world, Alexander flight to heaven in a chariot harnessed to flying by two griffins that take flight. The king directed the animals upwards, holding pieces of liver on spear points as bait. This theme was represented in East and West with an ambiguous meaning, because it is a symbol of the king's pride and arrogance, but it can also be interpreted as a sign of his intelligence and power.
